LatinX Project

Description: The LatinX Project is working to engage west county LatinX groups to learn their ideas/approaches and needs related to disaster preparedness and response. Adapting Meet Your Neighbor and other materials in Spanish the project team is working with the Promotoras and other Latinx groups in west county.

• Engage with the LatinX community in ways that are identified and supported by that community.

• Give presentations, in Spanish with Spanish support materials, that meet the needs of the LatinX individuals involved.

• Identifying and finding appropriate methods of engagement.

• The Promotoras of the lower Russian River have been invaluable advocates in their community outreach.
